Sock Hop Tips
- Serve Cokes in the small bottles.
- Serve Moon Pies, Zagnuts, Abba-Zabba's, etc. for snacks.
- Put paper-type oldies records on the walls. There are all sorts of decorations you can get for this. Try this link here for a real good selection (or just to get ideas).
- Have the female guests dress in poodle skirts and wear pony tails.
- Have the male guests wear penny loafers, t-shirts and car coats.
- Have a best-dressed contest!
- Have dance contests (the Stroll, the Twist, the Bunny Hop)
- Feel brave? Have a hula-hoop contest!
- Have school yearbooks on display.
- Get information about the guests from school days and have the DJ do a trivia contest with the information (fun!)
